2012: Wet, wedding flowers, winners and weedless.

So 2012 is coming to an end and rather than use many words to describe the year I decided to use a number of images. Many of them speak for themselves whereas others are a snapshot of the features of this year. So from snowdrops which mean the garden is returning to life, rare summers evenings, stunning autumn colours, ongoing rainy days, an increase of wedding flowers through to rare appearances from butterflies our tenth year has been one of celebrations.

In what was a tough year economically and not aided by the fact that it was one of the wettest years many businesses have found it difficult to continue. We have continued to be supported by our local community and have found many new customers as the word spreads about our place of plant and wildlife tranquility.

No longer do we have a collection of finalists badges this year we received two awards for our long term strive to be a greener garden centre. Pretty impressive when other entrants included large companies both here and in the UK.

As for the weedless this of course never occurred but we can always hope for that in 2013.

Thank you for your support as ever and we look forward to a new season of gardening adventures.
