The Secret Garden is tucked away in the beautiful countryside of North Cork.
Many of our visitors described The Secret Garden as being North Cork’s prettiest garden centre, as the garden centre naturally flowed into our own established garden which is abundant with wildlife which made visiting a relaxing occasion. The ducks and hens would always greet you as they wandered through the gardens.
The Secret Garden Centre is a family run business that was established in 1996 by the previous owners. The current owners Sarah and Brian took over in May 2002. It developed and grew over the last decade to become recognised as one of Munster’s leading Garden Centres while still retaining a personal touch.
Our hard work has paid off with the garden centre receiving several awards. In February 2008 The Secret Garden was awarded the Bord Bia 3 star rating, as well as Best Specialist Garden Centre at the National Amenity Horticulture Awards. Best Specialist Centre The Secret Garden – Judges comments “This charming plant based centre is appropriately named. Plants are what they do and they do them very well with a focus on choice and good quality, presented in an attractive personal way.”
The Secret Garden ceased trading as a garden centre in 2016 and is now concentrating on growing cut flowers, floristry and courses.
